FAQ

Q: How are records packaged for shipping?
A: We use only the best and safest packing materials. We use Whiplash brand packaging designed specifically to protect your purchase from damage or warping. For all records, we layer tightly with bubble wrap to mitigate movement during shipping. We also place "fragile" stickers on the outside of the packaging.

For new records, we leave them intact with the plastic wrap remaining on the outside

For used records, we remove the vinyl from the album jacket, keeping it in the inner sleeve, and place it behind the album jacket. Then everything is slid into a poly outer sleeve. This avoids seam splits and results in better care of the entire package.

Q: How does your grading system work?
A: We use the standard format of:
Mint (M): Absolutely perfect, usually sealed. No flaws.

Near Mint (NM or M-): Highest grade for unsealed records. Shiny, no visible defects or surface noise.

Very Good Plus (VG+): Shows slight signs of wear (light scuffs, minor scratches) that do not significantly affect playback. Excellent, well-cared-for condition.

Very Good (VG): Noticeable surface noise, light scratches that can be felt, or groove wear, but does not skip.

Good (G) / Good Plus (G+): Significant wear, surface noise, and visible defects, but still plays through without skipping.

Fair (F) / Poor (P): Heavily damaged, warped, or cracked. Generally not carried unless very rare.

Q: What if I buy a used album and it skips or has scratches once it arrives?
A: We have a 100% money-back guarantee! Scratches, skips, water damage, or anything else, we only want to provide the best quality used records available. If something slipped by us, we want to know! Any other return questions, please see our refund policy.

Q: Where do your orders ship from?
A: All orders are sent from our headquarters in St. Petersburg, FL, USA.  And all our inventory is stored in climate controlled space, so no need to worry about our heat or humidity. Leave that to us.
